What are survey credits and how do they work?

ToLearn's Food Safety Culture (FSC) module helps organisations measure and understand the attitudes, behaviours, and perceptions that influence food safety within their workforce.

Using anonymous questionnaires, businesses can gather valuable feedback from employees, identify cultural strengths and weaknesses, and monitor improvements over time through a range of food safety culture reports and analytics.

What Are Survey Credits?

Survey credits are used when employees submit food safety culture questionnaires.

The Survey Credits section displays the number of credits that have been used and the total number available on the account.

For example:

41 / 130 Survey Credits

This means:

  • 130 is the total number of survey credits available.

  • 41 survey credits have been used.

  • 89 survey credits remain available for future questionnaire responses.

Unlike employee licences, survey credits are not used to create questionnaires. Instead, a credit is consumed each time a user submits a questionnaire response.

How Survey Credits Work

The group leader can create and publish food safety culture questionnaires for employees within the organisation.

Once published:

  1. Employees receive access to the questionnaire.

  2. Employees complete and submit their responses.

  3. One survey credit is consumed for each completed submission.

  4. Results become available for analysis and reporting.

Example

A group leader publishes a questionnaire to 50 employees.

If:

  • 10 employees submit responses; 10 survey credits are used.

  • 25 employees submit responses; 25 survey credits are used.

  • 50 employees submit responses; 50 survey credits are used.

The questionnaire itself does not consume credits. Credits are only used when employees successfully submit their responses.

Free Credits for New Accounts

New ToLearn accounts receive 10 free survey credits to help organisations explore the food safety culture feature and test the reporting tools.

To determine how many responses are required for reliable results, organisations can use the Sample Size Calculator available from the Dashboard.

Purchasing Additional Survey Credits

When survey credits become low or are fully used, the Group Leader can purchase additional credits at any time.

Additional credits can be purchased from the Food Safety Culture checkout page.

After purchase, the new credits are immediately added to the account balance and can be used for future questionnaire responses.

By using survey credits effectively, organisations can gain meaningful insight into workforce behaviours, strengthen their food safety culture, and support ongoing compliance and improvement initiatives.

This approach ensures that businesses can maintain accurate training and compliance records while effectively managing their workforce licences.
